Rob Walker on TED and those Chrysler ads..

Speaking of Detroit: Chrysler's "Born of Fire" ad praised by TED. Why is TED praising ads? Because it is tired of "ads being aggressively forced on users," so it's encouraging ads that are "worth spreading." In other words they want ads forced on you by your friends.
